Watching people getting their heads cut off for not getting the "mark of the beast" was an enriching experience as a child. Probably explains why I love horror films now.

My folks had a family movie night, every once in a while. I remember watching The Sound of Music, The Parent Trap (the original one), The Andromeda Strain, and for some reason, the movie Duel, with Dennis Weaver sticks out in my mind.

Movies not so much since VCR, cable and DVD werent available. However, you had to be bleeding to death to miss Gunsmoke.

My dad took me to see The Godfather in the theater. He wanted me to see a gangster movie that didn't glorify the gangsters.
