Houston rodeo is fun. You sound like a stick in the mud.

Also, it’s a HUGE deal for those FFA kids that spend their youth raising these show animals.

Out of all the tens of thousands who you will see on any day at the rodeo, you’re assuming majority are “fake cowboys”.

Boots and a cowboy hat are not an occupation uniform. They are a fashion choice that people like to wear for this event.

Is it silly to you that people wear LSU but they aren’t a part of the football program? Or is it silly that people who grew up watching LSU but didn’t end up going to school there are wearing LSU gear?

This argument is ridiculous.

Poor people who can’t afford to hunt trophy bucks that are part of elite genetics dating back decades are so mad at people who do get that opportunity. They claim it ain’t real hunting.

Sorry not everyone wants to fight over the one decent buck in the whole county because dipshits kill anything with horns. If it’s brown it’s down mentality.

That's a whole lotta rationalizing for you and CowboyGPT and trying to justify and make yourself feel better for being a weekend warrior "hunter"

These clowns look like such fools playing dress up for Rodeo every year.

If any of you have been to Houston during the rodeo, you know now is the time all of the city slickers, who have never stepped foot in the outdoors besides having a cocktail on a patio, dusts off their finest cowboy and cowgirl costumes and cosplay as true cowboys for the next three weeks. Hats, vest, boots, leather fringe, turquoise jewelry, pearl snaps as far as the eye can see.

Folks love them some cos-play. Ever looked around duck hunting areas? Folks ALL about the cos-play. I will bet you if you watch the live camera feeds from the dock in Venice you will see multiple people participating in cos-play. Everybody does it....as a species we LOVE it....

I do both guided and non guided on our property. Most people that I go hunting with that is guided also hunt regularly non guided.

I’d be willing to bet most of the actual guys competing in the rodeo itself have done plenty of guided hunts. Kind of a silly path to follow on the guided hunts argument.

I go to it. I don't pretend to be a cowboy besides Justin boots I've owned for a decade. I've been on my rich friends ranches, but maybe once every 2-3 years.

I rode the spinning flying saucer thing where it spins extremely fast, maybe 150-200 rpms. That was the most terrifying thing I've ever done in my life. I had no idea how fricking fast that thing spins and how much force it exerts on you. Inside the saucer, We leaned our back against a metal plate on the back of the wall. I didn't know it slid up and down. The centripital force is so strong, the very heavy metal plates you lean against slide up to the top of the roof, so your head is nearly touching the roof, then once it slows down to like 50 rpm you slide 4 feet back to the ground. I knew we were spinning fast when I saw a probably 400 lb woman fly up instantly when the speed picked up.

As soon as that spinning speed picked up to where I couldn't move any body party because the force was too strong, I had that immense terror feeling like if you walked in on a decapitated family member. Sheer panic, I knew they wouldn't stop the ride for me and my panic, so I tried to relax as much as I could. You can't close your eyes in a thing like that to relax, it only makes it worse/dizzier.

Here is a spinning grandma video that it felt like. Grandma spinning

Stepping outside it felt like the world was spinning, I fell down. Had no alcohol. if I did, I would've vomitted for sure.

I don't get people who like that shite. I imagine hell would be riding that thing 24/7. No shot you'd stay concious after 10-15 minutes straight of it. Never again.
