FYI, everywhere I moved during college my parents would always come do a wipe down for a deeper clean.

FYI, if I needed to move in college I moved me, and if it needed extra cleaning, I cleaned it. I'm afraid parents are creating dependent children for life.

My parents paid for my maid/house cleaner in college, only difference now that I'm an adult is I pay for her....guess I'm dependent for life

Couldn't do it yourself?

My parents would have laughed at me if I asked them to come clean my apartment when I was in school.

That's not what he was saying. It was bigger than that.

My parents never even saw my Hatcher dorm room or any Tiger Plaza apartment I ever had.

Them cleaning it would never be considered. By them or me.

My parents never helped me move in or out. I took care of everything myself from getting leases, to renting a carpet cleaner and giving it a good scrub down before we moved in and when we moved out. The day I graduated high school I was on my own and feel like I'm better off for it. Don't get me wrong, my parents helped out financially and would be there if I needed them, but as far as cleaning up after myself and stuff, I handled that myself.

The first time my parents helped me move was into the dorm my freshmen year.

The next time they helped me move was into an apartment at the start of grad school for PhD.

The cottages is just like a boat...

You don't want to have one, but you want a friend to... I lived in that pool for many a weekend. Place is a blast, but Im happy I never lived there.

I was sitting around the house one day in mid July after my senior year.

I got up and packed all my shite into my truck and left.

I picked up my future roommate in Mandeville, with his shite (he didn't have a truck).

Me and him moved our shite into our house in BR that we were renting.

I got a call from my mom at like 6pm asking me where I was.

My mom wouldn't ever come inside my college apartment. She would come knock on the door if need be and stick her head in when I answered. I think she was afraid what she might see or find and didn't want to know what was going on in there
