Am I the only person who remembers Carl Lewis? Dude won 9 gold medals in track and field. He's widely considered one of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen, and he's never mentioned.

But he got himself a ring didn’t he?

Swap Jordan for Lebron and it’s a good list.

Only people that didn't watch Jordan play back then would say this. LeBron s defense sucks and he would get lazy at times. Jordan did it on both ends of the court and didn't have these pussy rules they have now. NBA in the 80's and 90's was awesome. Can't watch the boring crap they have now.

Would have loved to see LeBron back then try to dunk on Detroit. They invented the hack a sack. You could always count on a fight anytime they played. Was like hockey with a basketball.

Yes, Tiger is among the greatest athletes who has ever lived. He’s smart as all frick too.

Like the winning of the 2019 Masters, in the stats he was in the middle of almost everything, but he played it extremely smart and calculating. Of the Top Ten Golfers in the World, he was up against seven of them going against the wire. It was Tiger’s wit and confidence that won him that Masters and not raw skills.

It’s difficult to exaggerate how huge of a victory that is.

If you would like to add a woman to the list Babe Zaharias is in the discussion. And just because I am a ski racing fan put Mikaela Shiffrin up there so we have a cute face to look at.

I can't see a Mount Rushmore not having Brady and Jordan that leaves 2 slots. Gut feeling is I have a football and basketball player so trying not to use those sports twice I would say Willie Mays (recency bias based on his passing perhaps) and Ali.

Of the athletes I've seen:
Jordan
Brady
Bonds
Tiger

Jesse Owens needs to be on every Mount Rushmore. What he did in Berlin, Germany on the world stage, at the peak of Nazi’s power and with the world on the brink, was simply legendary and should never be forgotten.

Other than that - I say MJ, Tiger Woods and Babe Ruth
