The Tesla electric motor is a joke in a 1/4 mile. Now extend this to the nurburgring and it would be a lot more interesting
The Tesla would get owned at the Nordschleife. The chassis sux and the brakes would be toast by Bergswerk plus it has a 155mph top speed, all in all a high 8 minute car, maybe even in the 9s.

The real stat is the 911TS coming in a hair under the Ferrari...and for 1/2 the price (around $190k).
The new GT2 RS is the real beast (price more in line with the 488) and has a real chance to match the Huracan Performante for the fastest Ring time and will be on a harder compound tires.

The numbers on the GT2 RS look beastly! With the performance kit, it will ring in around $350k+/-...
It should be out by late October 2018.

Dude NEVER claim to know ANYTHING about cars. You are like a 40yo virgin lecturing Ron Jeremy about how to "tap that arse". I'll go out on a limb here and guess you don't even own a helmet (besides the bike helmet you mom makes you wear so you brains don't spill out the soft spot) and you think heel and toe is what you mom does on those fetish videos to earn money for your special school.
Why does every guy with a car note thinks he knows cars? The top fuel ET record is like 3.65...

Yep, when someone puts them on a cargo plane to America

Yeah, the Weissach package is $31k onto the already 293 base average configuration will probably be in the $350s and the market adjustments will be huge on those, getting an allocation will be on the Ferrari 488 or worse level. But like the 488 if you have a long term dealer relationship and get a decent deal (read deal as no sand in the vaseline) you drive it for a year and sell at a profit.

Yep...and first right of refusal goes to those that purchased a 918 (it was that way for the 911R). They have to hold on to it for 365 days before flipping or they lose status!

They should have run a Z06 instead of the Grand Sport.
The Z06 ran in 2015 so not eligible for this year. It won that year but its stiffest competition was a Bentley Continental and AMG GT-S. It would not have faired so well this year, though it would have done much better than the Gran Sport.

Why didn't they test the challenger demon? At the times posted, the demon would have won this race.

Any of the new hybrid supercars would've blown the doors off of the Tesla. They are all easily sub-10 1/4 mile cars. Take them out to 1/2 and 1 mile, and you'll fall asleep waiting for the Tesla to show up

The Motor Trend Worlds Greatest Drag Race isn't about the fastest production 1/4 ETs at all.
MT has been doing the WGDR since 2011 in conjunction with its Best is Drivers Car competition. The Demon pretty much a one trick pony especially compared to well rounded cars like the McLaren 570GT. Ferrari 488 and Porsche 911 TS and Cayman S. It would have easily finished in the bottom 1/3 or 1/4 in the BDC and that would have been charity for how much fun it is in a straight line. The Camaro did pretty well because while being a track day special it still does a lot of things a good drivers car does but is just really harsh.
The separate issue to make clear is the BDC like most magazines major "Best _____ Car" usually only test a car once when it is new (or the first time they can get one to the test). You won't see the 488, 570GT, the Cayman S or 911 TS again next year or until there is a major revision. If they did that you would probably just see 7-8 cars in the top spots each year.

Even if he did he is still wrong. The P100D is a 2.28 second 0-60 car which is quicker than all the cars he listed, only the 918 has set a faster 0-60 time at a 2.2 flat. BTW of the cars in the MT race outside the Tesla the 911 TS is the quickest to 60.
