I’m sure there are differences in the state laws, but the most obvious difference between the scenarios was that the parents in Michigan bought the gun used in the shooting as a Christmas present for their kid, who was 15.

The kid in Texas bought the gun himself (from what I understand) and was, legally speaking, an adult at 18.

Not saying that excuses the parents morally.. but it probably makes a difference legally.

I am not going to trash her for those comments. Her child is dead and took a bunch of kids with him. I doubt she's in her right mind.

That first part I can understand her wishing ppl find a way to forgive him. That is her child. If she left it at that I could see victims parents at some point sympathizing to a point. But that last part
Yeah she will get no sympathy now.
