I don’t know enough about this case to say either way but people suggesting the kid sack up and take it aren’t realizing that sports can be very political and kids are added and cut for reasons other than skill. Especially kids that are of avg ability.
Soccer especially is a tough sport to evaluate. I honestly don’t see why they don’t make them play one-v-one. If you think you’re better than other kid of similar position, play one on one and the better kid should win consistently. No?

I'm sure the mom will be ready and waiting where kid gets turned down for job promotions or raises later in life.

Two different coaches, two different teams. Should Will Wade have to run his basketball team the same exact way Nikki Fargas runs her’s? If that was the case LSU’s men’s basketball would suck.

he mother of a Ladue junior who did not make the varsity cut does not think that’s fair. She believes her son, who already played on the J.V soccer team, is good enough play again on the same team.
That’s not how any of this works.

Michael Jordan got cut from his HS basketball team in 10th grade.
Did his mom sue to get him on a team. No he worked his arse off and became the GOAT to play the sport.
Maybe the kid needs to work on his deficiencies and make the team on his own merits. Not to mention at my HS this kid would have been bullied and laughed at because of this and his mom......

Do kids still get mocked for stuff like this or will he be the bmoc at school now?
I can’t imagine being in his shoes and going to school Monday. It would be just endless mocking from bell to bell

Bless her heart.....
How about 'that's life son, you ain't always gonna be good enough to make the team or be the CEO of the company that owns the supermarket where you bag groceries.'
Michael Jordan got cut from basketball in highschool. Too bad momma's gonna come to this kids rescue vice the kid deciding, on his own, that he'll practice, get better, and try-out next year.....

Like a gayer version of Footloose.

The coach sent the family an email that said their son was on the bubble when it came to picking varsity team members. He wrote the boy has holes in his technical ability and game decision making.
Which translates to, the boy sucks at soccer.

You're son is not good enough.
She needs to sit her arse down, if it's that bad, send your son to another school!
She'll drop the case because she will run out of money

Ladue is probably the wealthiest suburb of St. Louis. I imagine little John Doe is used to getting everything he wants without working too hard. His mom is squandering an opportunity for him to learn from adversity.

I’m assuming that’s because of the coaches statement where he said this policy depends on how many people try out. I’m guessing girls had less kids try out and there were spots available for juniors to stay on jv. This mother is just grasping at straws because her kid didn’t have the skills to make the team. It’s part of life he needs to learn his lesson and move on.

That’s a lot of travel time and expense down the drain.
