So the vacations aren't really free. They're income.

And go to Iceland in the summer.

My airfare is 600 RT with a 7-hour layover I've never paid more than 1300 for airfare and never would

I'm not sure I've ever spent more than 2k for a vacation. I'm thrifty, can enjoy the hell out of myself inexpensively

I've also had a lot of travel benefits

We paid for the meal plan when we went so we ate out every meal. I thought the food sucked. I also don't like standing in lines.
If it wasnt for all the longs lines, the over inflated cost, the average food, fatties on scooters clogging the pathway's and all those damn kids.....Disney would be great.

Yeah that’s how I feel about amusement parks in general

My parents love Busch Gardens, so when I go see them we end up going every season but it’s overall not a great experience

Jesus. I’ve been making six figures since I was 27 so I’ve got good cash flow and savings, but no way in hell could I stomach spending $10k on a vacation. Guess I’m a stingy bastard but damn, I’d have to make stupid money (and maybe you do) to feel good about that type of expenditure.

Good for you though. Can’t spend it when you’re dead.

But see, you have a 7-hour layover. You're "paying", just not in the form of money.

If you can turn that layover into seeing some place, I guess that's fine.

For me, personally, I'd rather pay more for things that make things more comfortable/easier, particularly on vacation. I'm thankful that I am in a position to do so.

Depends on my global entry, once I find out if I'm approved I will take an Uber to Brooklyn and drink some beers. Also, unfortunately, there is no direct flights to where I want to go. New Orleans has direct to Munich and Paris only I believe

Nice. I suspected you would make the best of something like that. I keep putting global entry off.

Where are you headed?

I probably spent 6-7k on a vacation to Disney for 4. Most of our vacations are cheaper. We went white water rafting and hiking in the smokies last year and we all enjoyed that much more than Disney.

I'm with you. I'm not vacationing to hang around crowds of people and blowing money. I'm there to de-stress

My daughter isn't much of a beach lover either. She'd rather go hiking and fishing with her dad. She loved rafting. I'm already scouting out our trip this summer.

Sounds like she would love hang-gliding and skydiving. Both are awesome. She sounds like a spit-fire!
