The main concern in the short term is Stephensville and St Mary. Yes Belle River and Pierre Part are having some high water their dealing with but nothing like what Lower St Martin has been dealing with.

Have you been to riverbend lately? Half the yards have been waterlogged for months now

Riverbend has bigger problems to contend with than just seepage. It has a cluster of sand boils that require monitoring every hour on the hour.

I actually just heard from a friend that’s in Stephensville checking on his camp and said the water has dropped 2-3” since Sunday.

There's been standing water in the ditches along the River Road levees from downtown BR past Farr Park for months.

That's certainly believable according to the Atchafalaya River gauge at Morgan City.

What are those barges doing? It looks like they just tied up to the tree and went for a stroll.

I'm not sure you guys know how much water the Arkansas has that will hit the MR in a bit. And who knows what the Missouri will add.

They are pushing into the bank waiting for their turn either to go through the locks or go load/discharge at the plant

Posts like this used to just roll on by and I wouldn’t bat an eye. Now that the media says the Morganza will go to a “full opening” after the slow opening, I pause at these posts. I’m sure that terminology by the media was just bad wording but I’m wondering if it’s not.

Now, I'm not sure all that yet to be seen water will mean a thing to BR or NOLA. But for a rarely used Morganza and parts south of it, I'm just picturing it being a mess. As in the gates (any number of them) being open from 6/2 to who knows whe. Could be a month for all we know. Just spitballng but I can't see the gates being opened on June 2nd and closed soon after.

This source map is important given how much water has been added to all of those red marks due to this crazy weather since April.

How long will they leave Morganza open when they do open it?
