I thought they killed it? Only thing it was good for was the crossword anyway.

The original Fighting Tigers of Louisiana were not found on the football field but on the battlefield. Louisiana infantry troops in the Confederate army were referred to as Louisiana Tigers — this name eventually became the University’s mascot.
Wrong. Name came from the Spanish American (Mexican... my bad for saying the evil Spanish overlords when it was the Mexicans) war.

Color me shocked! A 21 year old poly science kid from Alexandria with no real life experience wrote a piece of trash like this, hoping to get some exposure in the world of media wokeness.
Take it with a grain of salt. Nothing to see here.

No mention of William T? Or the number of officers sent to fight in both world wars? Cory needs to read a real history book or two.

quote:No. The original "Louisiana Tigers" definitely came from the Civil War, just like the article and quote said.
Wrong. Name came from the Spanish American war.

I used to work there in the 90s, not as a writer. IIRC I changed the policy of bars being able to advertise drink specials. They stopped them after Ben Wynne died which I thought was stupid.
It was a fun campus job for a few years. Pre SJW days so none of this woke bs and working with a bunch of hot college girls.

You really don't know how much pull butch and his people have at LSUTrue. I really don't know what this statement means, especially in context of the OP.

In that article there is picture and one of the protesters is holding a sign with that cliche arse African proverb
"A child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth."
Ok? I love how someone parroting that line thinks explaining the motives behind destructive and violent actions is somehow a justification of those actions?
Ok we get it. You dont feel like you belong. Well i live here and like it and if you try to burn down my home im going to shoot you in the face.

well it certainly isn’t for lack of trying on the village’s behalf. My entire life they’ve been adamant to try and embrace the child, even at the expense of the other children.
