I couldn't disagree more. Polygamy is what we are wired for. Monogamy is something that relatively moral society created in order to maintain a family unit more dedicated to child rearing.

U just made the point of what this whole thread is about. And why it's all going to shite.

If anyone closely followed what is in the Bible, whether you believe in God or not, the world would be a better place. There's nothing that it doesn't cover if you actually read from page to page.

"Come, let us make our father drink wine, and let us lie with him that we may preserve our family through our father." 33. So they made their father drink wine that night, and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. 34. On the following day, the firstborn said to the younger, "Behold, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve our family through our father."

Genesis 19:33

soak up that morality on every page

Guys have always been dogs, for the most part. Women used to be taught to be quiet and submissive and do whatever to please your husband. Not so much anymore. They have been embolden. Scroll thru Facebook or Instagram and you'll see that what is now common, accepted behavior by women would've resulted in a scarlet letter 20-30 years ago.

You are assuming everyone will interpret it the same. Do you think Adam and Eve populated the world? If so, that means, that had kids who then had relations with each other in order to have more kids... so on and so forth. Does that mean everyone should start reproducing with their siblings?
---

Of course they won't interpret it the same. Lot of folks are wired different. People are imperfect. That's a fact.

I don't know if it is more prevalent now. It does seem that the stigma / consequences of getting caught are almost gone now, though.

You were largely viewed as kind of a piece of shite if you were outed as a cheater in the old days. Now folks just shrug their shoulders and say "that's a shame."

More of a fan of Genesis 19:4-8

quote:

4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house. 5 uAnd they called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? vBring them out to us, that we wmay know them.” 6 Lot went out to the men at the entrance, shut the door after him, 7 and said, “I beg you, my brothers, do not act so wickedly. 8 xBehold, I have two daughters who have not known any man. Let me bring them out to you, and do to them as you please. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof.”

Hey, assholes! Don't frick these angels...rape my daughters instead!

The traditional family consisted of the bread-winning husband, homemaker wife, and kids. Women would just sweep the dirty deeds of the husband under the rug and move on.

I don't know about more people having affairs. I know more people are being caught because of cell phones.

Seems like it. I know of a very, very fine lady in her early 40s that goes out with her boyfriend all the time. They go to very popular places too. She doesn't even try to hide it

One of the women mentioned has been married for less than a year.

Yes it is. That's why humans cry, get sad, get mad etc when they see or hear about their SO getting plowed. Otherwise we wouldn't feel a thing or we would be happy. Religion doesn't control your emotions. A lot of people are just lazy and give up on their SO

I always felt that it was because people put too much of how they feel about themselves into being with someone else. Their love, or lack there of, for themselves isn't enough so they look to fill the void in someone else.

Its like saying, I'm gonna stop playing other golf courses because I joined a club. Lets face it, you probably joined the club because you like their course the most and you like all the other amenities it has to offer. Its a real nice place that you want to call home.
But you still gonna want to stroke in some other holes because eventually you will want something different. Even when you know ahead of time that the other course you're going to play isn't as good as the club you joined, you are gonna go play it anyway because its different. Every once in a while, people just want strange, doesn't mean they don't still love their club. If people could just translate this into relationships, everyone would be a lot happier.

So you are OK with your girl allowing other players to play her holes?
