Robin Olds and it isn’t close. Yeager is an accomplished pilot and known tool. Robin Olds was an extraordinary pilot and model of what every military officer should strive to be. “Fighter Pilot” was an outstanding book that I read in two days. My vote goes to Olds.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Yeager a few times while stationed at Edwards AFB. Not very many people liked him because he’s a colossal jerk.
