this because it normally comes on a time when people are eating dinner? I thought jeopardy normally came on during the late afternoon time slot.

obviously it varies market to market, but in nola jeopardy comes on right before wheel.only reason ive seen wheel is the channel stays on after jeopardy when I watch that.

but more importantly, that alabama chick on the clip is hot. iwhi, she can pronounce words however she pleases and ill give her the win

Did he solve the puzzle?

If so he should get the prize.

Maybe his accent is different?

No, he got it wrong. Period. Dude's name is achilles, not uh-chill-us. If someone pronounced a girl named Ashley's name "ay-shu-lee-why" she'd probably say, no..that's not my name.

It has absolutely nothing to do with "accent", he pronounced it wrong.

I think he handled it pretty well:

quote:

On April 11, he looks forward to getting together with friends so they can see how well he did.

"Regardless of whatever is aired on TV, I am glad I did it. I wouldn't trade it for the world. It was an experience I will never forget," he said.

I watched.

If C hadn't been the last letter he guessed in mythological, would he have known what the second letter in Achilles was?

I guess that's the problem.

He's stupid if he doesn't know/can't pronounce Achilles.

Wasn't there a foreign guy whose answer the show wouldn't accept one time because of his "mispronunciation" of a word? Or am I thinking of a Jeopardy episode?

I watched that last night. Recorded it just in case it did not make it to YouTube. We couldn't stop laughing at that guy. Feel bad but damn.

When he got the million dollar wedge we were like, why does he keep spinning? Some the damn thing. Oh he doesn't know it.

Idk, but I mean you should have to pronounce the word right to get credit. Just because I can look at Chinese symbols doesn't mean I know how to pronounce them or what they mean.

yeah, it definitely explains the retarded chance he was taking by continuing to spin. God obviously made this dude very lucky for a reason. You can tell by his facial expressions, he only made it this far in life by sheer luck.

I once knew a guy named Achilles who pronounced it "uh-SHEELS." It took me a while to realize what his name actually was.

In his defense, you shouldn't have to pronounce it right, as long as you guessed the last letter.

I've never seen it happen like that before, but I wonder if they'd let it slide if a million dollars wasn't at stake
