I bought some furniture last year from Olinde's and got a protection plan for it. Furniture got damaged so I gave them a call and filed my claim. I just heard back from them and they told me that the retailer no longer carries this furniture and wanted to offer me a cash settlement no where near the price of the furniture (also less than what the plan cost me). I told them I'd have to call them back before I accept that so then I called Olinde's. Turns out they do actually have the furniture in stock. I'm calling them tomorrow to see why they lied to me but was just curious if anyone on here dealt with this company before. Seems like quite the scam they have going on over there.

I fricking hate Montage. Ashley talked me into getting them and now five years later are saying I only get my money back if I kept the original paperwork which should have been inside inside the receipt. frick them! As if they do not have this on file in their computers.

I tried to make a claim, but they said my mechanism problem was my fault. frick them to hell.

I'm just in awe that they would tell me that. Surely they would know I'm going to hang up and call the retail store after they offer me cash at 10% of what I paid. Can they really be that stupid?

Places like that default to denying every claim or settling as they have attempted with you. 90% of their clients never make a claim of don't take the time to follow through with all the BS they will put you through. If you call them out and make it adversarial they will fight you. Give them an out but subtly let them know you aren't going away.

Call them back and say "hey I checked and your system must have an error. The store has the furniture in stock. So do I go pick it up or do y'all have it delivered? Thanks."

You'd be surprised how many people just roll over and take what's offered to them without challenging it.

I bought one of their plans that covered everything.
Turns out it doesn't because 2yrs after we bought the furniture the leather started pealing and they would not replace it bc they said it was wear and tear, not an accident. I said it started as an accident and they still wouldn't cover it. frick THEM!!!!!!

Be real leather doesn't peel. Bonded leather does.

I didn't have a problem with them. I think they contracted a carpenter out of Texas. He came within 5 days of me calling, told me it would be about 2 weeks until he heard from, he called 2 weeks later, set up a date, and fixed my furniture within 2 hours.
