Oh and don't let all the Alabama stickers worry you. It's just ULL fans trying to piss off LSU fans
I've lived in Monroe/WM area my whole life...there are plenty of Bama stickers here too.

Monroe is horrible, as is the rest of N Louisiana.

I've seen like 3 Alabama stickers in Lafayette my whole life. Don't know where that comes from.
This is correct. There is a small bunch of hardcore ULL fans who hate LSU and pull against them, but they are just bitter assholes and I just have to laugh at them and feel sorry for them.
There are much more LSU fans in Lafayette than ULL fans....
ETA: Many are fans of both like me (Except when they play each other, which is rare anyway).

Get out of here with that shite. Everyone knows that one of the largest fan bases in the best athletic conference in the entire country only contains people who reside in Alabama.

My god enough about Alabama stickers. This is such a lie it's not even funny. Yes some UL fans hate LSU, but most like LSU and certainly there are hardly any "fake" Bama fans

fishing oppurtunities(but you're closer to saltwater fishing).
Still a good drive from saltwater fishing in Lafayette

You must have been in one of the less good areas on the north side of town or near downtown. Most of Lafayette has those "demographics" you so enjoy. However, I can completely understand someone not wanting to leave the north shore. Covington/Mandeville and Lafayette would be my top 2 places in the state to live and raise a family.

20 minutes is a "good drive"?

Layette is an amazing city. Hope to end up back there eventually

Should have put "good" saltwater fishing

It's a twenty minute drive to launch and 30 minute boat ride to southwest pass. Fishing there is good. Not great but good.

C Point in fall and winter is good

Yep. You'll have to learn what weird phrases like "get down" mean.

Where are you launching that's a 20 minute drive anyway?
And it's a 100 mile boat ride to hit 200 ft of water
