It did draw a lot of attention.

See the OP.

More than likely that P8 was assisting in the tracking of the Oscar II Belgorod.

The going narrative it Putin will use the bombing of NS2 as propaganda to gain support on the home land.
I guess.

The economic impact could have an even more deleterious effect though.

You haven't heard that Putin invaded Ukraine because of NATO expansion (into possibly Ukraine)?

What economic impact?

He's going to start selling petro products to Europe in 2021 levels again even with sanctions remaining?

Bruh, from a purely international relations and political perspective, blowing up NS2 would be a brilliant move by the west.

Way smarter than from Russia’s perspective.

The West gains massively here.

Are we sure the P-8 wasn’t around there doing analysis post explosion and the drop was a result of atmospheric interference from the venting of gas or other natural effects?
Just seems too easy. They’d never be trackable if they wanted to be hidden.
Makes more sense to use subs or SF

As opposed to simply dropping a drone from a boat.

So do you think this specialized torpedo was made of cellulose to make it untraceable?

Maybe that's why biden said he wanted us to get over and investigate. Why would he say that? He said we will investigate an explosion that crippled an energy pipeline that is owned by the country we are at proxy war with.

Sit back and think about that for a second.

Not saying we did or didn't do it, but the bullshite coming out of this administration ensures me nothing is off the table.

How about we stick to the OP. There are a million other Russia threads you can derail.

Are you implying that Russia does not lose economically with the destruction of NS2?

I was just answering the question. How is that derailing anything?

I expect that talking point (why would Russia do it? there are NO reasons why) will be quite common in this thread

Then I disagree with their conclusion.

The west, which is in a proxy war with Russia, gains significantly with the destruction of NS2 in the long term.

The short term may suck though.

Nothing was flowing through it at the time and nothing was expected to flow to it for a long time due to sanctions.

If we pretend that EU sanctions would be leaving the equation soon, then it makes sense. EU sanctions will likely still remain even if Ukraine gives up, though. The Russian-EU relationship is fractured for a long time and the gas flows will be restricted during that time period (it's the only card Russia has to play).

The last paragraph in the OP say the West does gain from sabotaging the NS2. And we do.

It's not exactly a moving target.

Hell, we just hit an asteroid with a rocket a couple billions miles from Earth last week.

Why are this boards Marxists upset at the idea of the U.S. destroying Russia’s pipeline?

They hate Russia and should be cheering Tater Joe on.

I did it get it.
