People also kill each other over water. Is water evil? They kill each other over food. Is food evil?

I am in the same boat but my job does not pay well!

I have been working in Desktop Support of IT for nearly a decade now. I have applied to over 1000 jobs, received very few interviews, and no offers.

I have been desperate to leave help desk/desktop support with no luck.

Are you a really pretty female between the ages of 18 - 28? If not, you are going to have to work, and it likely won't always perfectly satisfy your passions and interests. If you can find that in a job, good for you, but 98% of us have to find that in our hours outside of work.

Ok give me your money. I want to see if I become happy once I receive it.

People kill each other for being from the wrong tribe, the wrong religion, because they looked at someone wrong, on the wrong side of town. Humanity is where the evil lies, not in some inanimate object.

Money is not the key to happiness but it is not the key to misery- that is comparative living. Happiness does not require a job that is “what you want to do” either. Some of the happiest people I ever met were doing mindless jobs but doing them very well and with intention.

Make sure you’re unhappiness is not related to comparative living for if it is, you will be chasing a rainbow

Happiness is literally a state of mind and you can create that state whoever you want barring some chemical imbalance.

I don’t think many people are ALWAYS happy in everything they do. Ok you won’t be happy at work but you can enjoy your off time and spend your money.

What question??? My last post says everything that I feel about the subject. I have a feeling that money runs your life. Which is sad.

I'm passionate about getting laid, but that doesn't mean I'm going to make a career change to become a porn star. If you have some type of trust fund and are financially wealthy, then yes, take that State job. Otherwise, besides the crooked State politicians, who else do you know that gets wealthy working for the State??

If you were miserable before money, you’ll be less miserable.

If you were happy before money, you’ll be a hell of a lot happier.

But money alone doesn’t buy happiness.

How much do you make annually and how much of that do you give away to help others.

Money doesn’t run my life, I’ve been blessed with the ability to employ others and make their dreams come true. You think money doesn’t matter? Try being an employer and seeing the sheer relief on your employees faces when you give them an unexpected raise or a nice bonus.

Usually people that don’t have a pot to piss in are the ones that say money is evil and doesn’t make life easier or better. And that’s completely fine.

You start a thread about money and spend the entire thread trying to justify not making more money?

I agree with this 100%. Definitely won’t solve any internal struggles except for stress or anxiety. If you’re generally a mentally healthy person, it will make your life better. Again, the freedom it provides is more important than the money itself.

I feel great for you to be able to do that. What I make is irrelevant. I would be the same whether I have $100 or $1 million. You bashing me because I say money can cause problems is stupid. Because it does.
