Umm this is a little different than a teenager just watching the kids then putting them to bed before the parents come home.. she expected 12 year olds to run a household for a week

Yes the 12 year olds are twins and they have been placed with their grandmother. No mention of their father.
The two younger children were placed with their father (her ex-husband).
