Mizoo can die in their safe space if they want to equal the savage attacks in Paris.

I refuse to believe any of that is real. There is no way that kind of cognitive dissonance can actually be real. Is this real life?

in the ones i saw, it was a lot of people saying, essentially, "you didn't get sad when [insert something bad to some African nation] happened, so i won't get mad that something bad happened to paris #frickparis

There are a lot of racist blacks out there. Some people are pissed that tragedies in less prosperous locations aren't getting adequate coverage - fine, I suppose. Others are just racist blacks who want the limelight on their 'struggle' 247, as long as it's not say violence in Chicago.

The important thing to remember is that these people are ineffectual trash losers. They may be saying incendiary stuff but they do so on twitter because they work at the Smoothie Kings of the world and want to blame their oppressors for their shite lives and shite lifestyles. They'll amount to nothing. They'll never get to see a place like Paris even if they wanted to.

I just defriended some radical black type who I hadn't seen in 10 years after he put up some shite like that. He must have some app because he immediately refriended me to be a smart arse. Naturally, he dropped out of our college early on and has amounted to nothing, which is why he's the type who goes online to rage against white oppressors.

I mean frick those people but that is true. When 200 people are killed in Africa by Islamists no one cares. It's more of a footnote story. The only one that got huge coverage was the mall shooting because that was a large expat area with a ton of white people.

Two things: 1) Not necessarily true. Remember #bringbackourgirls? That was a big deal
2) Places like Paris have an expectation of civilized living. Unlike other parts of the world, the norm is not polygamy and child brides. So these events are more shocking when they happen in a place that purports to have law and order. Don't get me wrong, Al Shabaab's acts outrage me too.

The bring our girls back movement was more on social media. The media didn't cover it close to the extent Twitter did. The Paris attack is the kind of story that will take up an entire week of news coverage.

Students were slaughtered at that university and it was a story for like that day.

well yeah because it's something you don't expect to ever see in a city like Paris

sub-Saharan Africa? it's not some outlandish behavior that shocks the consciousness

I don't necessarily think it's a white thing. Paris is actually pretty "dark." I think it hits home more because Paris is a fairytale place for people all over the world. People dream about Paris nights and so many people vacation there.

Hell, Lafayette High had a class full of students take off for Paris the day the attack happened. They arrived in Atlanta to find out they wouldn't be making it to Paris because of the attacks.

It sucks but people associate Africa with terrible things so we've become desensitized to mass murder, AIDS epidemics, etc. in that part of the world.
