Thanks Mitch for ensuring that I will now take the train whenever I go down to NOLA.

In consultation with industry experts and after reviewing all possible options, it was determined that constructing a new north terminal was the best, financially feasible option for revenue growth and sustainable operating costs, in addition to giving our airport and region the best job and economic development potential. With the full support from the major airlines who would help finance the new terminal’s construction, the project was applauded by federal, state, regional officials and business and tourism communities.

After years of hard work, we now have a beautiful, state-of-the-art airport, designed from the ground up with modern passengers in mind as the front door to New Orleans.

Now our world-class city has the world-class airport she always deserved. The new MSY is a giant step toward a more prosperous future for us all.
Thanks Mitch for ensuring that I will now take the train whenever I go down to NOLA.

Frick Mitch. I figured he would crawl out from under a rock when this thing opened. Another chance to get his picture in the paper and his image on TV. Notice when they found a car in the drainage canal his arse was nowhere to be found.

Dear Mitch:
Please arrive at least eight hours before your domestic flight and 12 hours before your International flight. Good luck driving into the airport from the one point of access for vehicles traveling on the interstate AND Veterans.

Once you are "at the new terminal" the airport will be great and way better than what we have now.
Problem will be "getting to the terminal".

Definitely world class after his cousin's company won a bid for the airport and gave Mitch kickbacks. Way to go Mitch.

It’s not a new airport.

Mitch Landrieu launches nonprofit aimed at tackling racism; Bill Clinton to serve on board

Landrieu will formally launch the E Pluribus Unum initiative on Friday, an effort with influential backers including former President Bill Clinton that seeks to reshape the country's conversation about race. The goal, he says, is to more effectively reach out and help people gain a better understanding of racism in modern America.
Landrieu has managed to assemble a high-profile advisory council, including Clinton, Jobs, Harvard University Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., United Negro College Fund CEO Michael L. Lomax, Ford Foundation President Darren Walker and former Democratic National Committee Chair and political consultant Donna Brazile. Marc Morial, another former New Orleans mayor who now serves as CEO of the National Urban League, will also sit on the council.

You think he would actually wait to see how smoothly the opening of this thing goes before he starts touting it as the greatest thing ever.
