Anyone ever been on one of these? Looking for recommendations around the New Orleans, Baton Rouge area. TIA

An ex did one with the Mother years ago from NOLA to Memphis and stayed in the Duckwalk hotel in Memphis. They had a good time.
Didn't appeal to me so I went to Ono Island.

The main reason that Mississippi River cruises are expensive is that they have to employ people who can pass Homeland Security muster and American seamen to work the marine side of the vessels. The vessels do not call at any foreign ports like Carnival, etc.

They are expensive. You get what you pay for.

I'd go on a domestic cruise. There are very few foreign cruises I'd go on due to mainly negative safety issues.
