Missing South Carolina student found dead in quarry

“[H]e jumped it before the uber and refused to come back when the uber arrived and I had to get people home so I left,” Joseph said in a text.

The quarry is surrounded by a barbed wire fence if I remember correctly, and it is an operating quarry. No water in it.

Joseph is the last name of his gf if you read the link...sounds weird that he hopped a fence randomly. My money is on suicide if I had to make a guess.

Maybe they were all trespassing in the quarry, a terrible accident happened, they freaked and couldn't get him out of the quarry, left him in the bushes, and bolted in an Uber.

Pretty unlikely that a lone female, or even most males, could kill him with her bare hands, haul him over a fence and throw him off a cliff. Maybe he was dating Wonder Woman.

May have been an accident, purposely jumped or got robbed/targeted. (Smiley face
) Either way, probably shouldn't leave someone you care about that way in case shite like this happens.

I've seen 2 different stories.
The student newspaper is telling the story about the girlfriend and him leaving and the party. Local news is telling a story about a group being lost and this guy refusing to get in an Uber.
