Let’s say your a man in your 30s with 2 kids who works fast food because you didn’t get educated and parents were poor.

You work minimum wage in LA (7.25 an hour) need a 2 bedroom cuz kids which let’s be super conservative and say is 1200. Let’s assume they eat real cheap (40 a week for family of 3) but need clothes for kids and other misc expenses like a phone for himself and internet ~200 a month. He needs a car to get to work because public transportation isn’t available near him. Let’s say he buys the cheapest reliable used car for $300 a month and another $50 a month for insurance. Now factor in gas is $40 a week.

That means just to provide bare minimum BEFORE taxes it’s 300 hours a month. Now let’s factor in him having to take kids to school parks etc.

How would he improve his life from current state

You should ask McDs what took them so long with their tens/hundreds of millions per year in R&D they've been since the 50s.

They debuted the automated grill FIFTY years ago specifically to reduce the number of burger flippers needed to operate a store.

I guess it was the ridiculously high wages in the late 1960's that drove them to that.

Your education and parents don’t dictate you having 2 kids you can’t afford at 30.

Your decisions do.

So you have no solutions. You want no welfare, no minimum wage, just a "make it or break it" model of life....in America?

You know what happened last time we tried that? Well, the "Red Scare" might interest you. At no time in US history was communism more popular than in the 1930s when Americans were left completely on their own to survive. Great plan, LNCH.

Ok then let’s say it’s their decisions that led them here. Now what?

This is the level of stupid that has me not surprised you think artificially inflated wages are good.

Easier to pretend real-life problems don't exist than to actually understand 42,000,000 American citizens live in poverty and solutions are required.

Importing 10 million workers from the third world is sure going to help that.

The army pays more than minimum wage, so that should be the floor for an adult male's earning.

Stop trying to divert and answer the question. The answer is nothing. He can do nothing because his sole goal is survival.

Not everyone has a good life. You support them getting out of it or suppress them from getting out

What's stupid about it?

Every business is trying to reduce costs all the time. That's regardless of what the nominal cost is.
