Another milestone in the decline of journalism. This bacteria is in most cat scat and people have known about the effects of the bacteria for a while.

This is nothing new. I recall learning about it 40 years ago when I worked at a vet clinic. Only immune compromised people need to be worried about the parasite and pregnant women are advised to avoid changing litter box because the larva is in the cat poop.
