Thanks, I saw the big Dilbar in the Barcelona harbor last February, and wondered who owned that thing. It was surrounded by other "nice" yachts but it looked like it belonged to the Royal Navy.

What’s most astonishing about that yacht is how many different places you can get naked and do blow.

Unreal.

His wife came on and spilled the beans about how he beat her.

I’d like to know what it costs to operate Dilbar or both A yachts. Seems like the three of them are on the move more than they aren’t.

Nah. I’ve seen the numbers, can’t say anymore than that. Working on one seems cool though.

I recall an ex BIL and MJ2 going at it here and her making an account but didn't he defend himself well here? She had charges of dom abuse as well.

Looked like a good ole fashioned LP trailer park tussle that happened to occur off Oneal Lane.

Don't forget you don't have to get hotel rooms when you go somewhere... so you got that going for you.

And the write-offs, they are huge.

I didn’t follow it too closely. It was far too trashy for me.

I just remember than original thread by the wife or ex wife.

Of course it takes more than $1MM/yr. If the ship has a crew of 70, and we conservatively estimate that the avg salary is $50k, that’s $3.5MM just in payroll.

I was saying $1MM to $2MM to run a 115ft boat. Dilbar is 512ft...so yeah, gonna cost way more to run that one.

I’m assuming these mega ones don’t get chartered?

Good friend of mine has a 76’ but they charter it most weeks since they aren’t on it all the time. It’s like $40k a week plus tip for the crew.

The giga and mega yachts probably see little to no chartering...most are owned by Middle Easterners or Russian oligarchs as far as I can tell. The ones in the 85’ to 200’ range probably see some decent charter use though...but even an older 85’ yacht is like $100,000/week to charter.

That larger ship has to be a huge headache to maintain. I dont care how much money they have.

I was watching that show below deck while at my parent's house. Some of these guests were complete assholes. No way in hell I would put up with their attitudes.

The guy that owns that boat just cuts checks. He probably doesn't know the first thing about how the boat is maintained and doesn't care. He has someone that handles every aspect of maintaining that boat.

The maintenance cost for the bigger boat over a 3 month period is likely more expensive than the cost of the smaller yacht.

I doubt he even does that. I am sure his bookkeeper or someone like that pays for everything out of the "yacht account."

Wait till Jerry J rolls out his new boat, it's 470 feet, of course he's knocking down about a billion a year so that 25 million dollars annually to run it is nothing.

I love seen 15-20% of purchase price a year for maintenance and upkeep of a yacht.

I don't know what the pay is like, but those crews can't be cheap even if they are getting mostly Russian or Middleasterners on the cheap.
