I may be heading out there on a boat. How bad is the Avalon/Maple Ridge area?

Update- lowes is accessible by car. Water in the maple Ridge area across from Chili's is about thigh high in the road. Should be accessible by foot/boat

My parents are across the street from River Oaks Elementary, if anyone can let us know if the water had started to drop it would be greatly appreciated.

BRZ had a live shot through there. Flooded from Old Hammond Highway to I12.

It's bad. They were launching boats in the Target parking lot yesterday for active rescues and none of the area was driveable. Police were turning anyone around trying to go to that side of Millerville. I live on the other side of Millerville (south side of I12) and it's completely dry until you hit south Harrell's ferry

What about that middle school on south Harrell's ferry? I believe it southeast middle school. Did that area get flood waters. I know some teachers that work there. Just wondering if anyone knew

I couldn't drive through there yesterday, but other people were. The other side of south Harrell's ferry next to Camelot and Woodland Ridge was actively flooding during the day, and I drove one way through it and couldn't drive back through it 2 hours later

I'd say the school is probably fine (not sure if the teachers want to hear that ) but I'll update with that as well in a few. Drinking my coffee and waiting for a friend with a kayak to meet me so we can go

Southeast Middle school is dry as of this morning. I drove past it this morning and only the football field had water on it

Really bad from the views of the drone flyover. Looks like the north side of I-12 at Millerville got the worst flooding. Views on the east side not so bad.

That is the corner of Millerville and Ponderosa. Our last home was on Brightview Ct. I heard from the new owner that they lost everything. Broken hearted for everyone.

South side is areas of dry area and flooding. Very area dependent. I12 towards oneal is closed though. Jones creek has been flooded

Cops didn't turn me around on Millerville but I was stopped by water on the road around Chili's. Anything between Lowe's and Old Hammond is still flooded, and there are cops around that may turn you around if you head into the water

Dropped off some sandbags yesterday to some folks that are essentially at the SE corner of the 12/Millerville intersection. Just curious as to what that area looked like.

Middle school is fine. Didn't take any water. And the water on the road in front of it is gone

Those apartments on that corner are flooded, neighborhood probably is too. There's a lake back there that probably overflowed

Yes. We live on Heartwood and evaced with the National Guard at 5am Sunday morning. We live above the floodplain and the water was at our porch at that time. It ride for hours after that to the point where water on Flannery was emptying into Millerville.

The last aerial view I saw had all of that levelled out as a continuous body of water.

If anything survived it was probably those homes nearest the Interstate.
