Cocaine is usually associated with heart problems and it sounds like that was what did him in. Massive vasoconstriction of the coronary artieries leads to MI.

Get to see someone knows what they're talking about....

Why should America give a damn every time some celebrity overdoses and dies? He had more money than most of us will probably ever make in our lives, yet we’re aupposed to care?

Mac Miller was a staple of high school parties’ soundtrack in the late aughts early teens. Lot of old folks in this thread screaming at the clouds.

Sorry you can’t relate to the younger generation who is now in their 20s / early 30s

That’s like when someone shoots himself in the head and someone asks what happened and the person responding says, oh, well his brain exploded out the back of his head.

Was on record saying he did a lot of drugs, but not those.

Never heard him mention meth, but he had a whole mixtape (FACES) that dealt with his coke addiction.

I looked him up and the first video I found was of him rapping in a coffin.

Honestly his story is the main reason I’ve never tried it and never will.

For medical junkies, what happens to the heart when you overdose?

Depends on the drug

Opioids (heroin/pills) slow the breathing down so slow that people have cardiac arrests

Cocaine/M
meth speed the heart up and cause abnormal arrhythmias which can cause cardiac arrest

I’m sure the man was talented and will be missed, but I really hate seeing these people held as martyr when they take their own lives or die due to drug use.

I’m in my mid-30’s and I’d never heard of this dude until he died. I don’t party with 20 year-olds and I abhor rap music. I feel bad for his family and friends who will miss him, but he made the conscious choice to use (and apparently abuse) drugs, so I don’t really feel sorry for the guy.

To have a massive heart attack at a young age, you’d have to do a shite load of coke
