Yea, he probably needs a financial planner.

If millennials get to experience the same postwar boom as your grandparents they probably won't complain either.
So all we need is another world war and then we’ll be set.

I love how millennials all talk about getting screwed.
My great-grandmother grew up in the depression and fought ww2, never bitched about how unfair it was...
Ya the boomers wasted what our grandparents fought for...
What is hard to understand about the boomer leaders completely fumbling the ball after the sacrifice of our ancestors?
The boomers have eroded any confidence in our institutions under their leadership. What major areas of innovation, outside of computer technology and some medical advancements - have the Boomer leaders cultivated since the early 1970's?

Calling out how shitty our boomer leadership may be bitching about unfairness - or it could just be true.

What I find most hilarious about the Millennial loathing of Boomers is the fact the Boomers loathed the Greatest Generation in the exact same way. Just as Millennials blame all the world’s problems on Boomers, Boomers blamed all their woes on the Greatest Generation.
The circle of life is a funny thing sometimes.
And FTR, I’m Gen X.

Don’t worry Trump will forgive student loans.

I don't loathe all boomers - I loathe the boomer leadership in our institutions who have repeatedly failed the nation.
They also refuse to give up power, the average age of CEOs, gov't officials, etc. consistently increases while they refuse to hand the reigns to Gen. X and beyond - who may actually be able to bring in new insight, ideas and innovation.
My boomer parents and their friends see similar failings.

I'm a Gen Xer. What if I told you that it's all the Boomers' fault. What if I told you that Millennials have been screwed over more than any generation in the history of mankind.
Would that make you feel better? Would your victimization be validated?

I just want people to admit boomers ruined the long term outlook of this country. It’s not a victim thing
shite, their incompetence might start another depression over the coronavirus

Their wealth problem probably has more to do with useless degrees and splurging on that yearly friendcation to Ibiza than anything nefarious in the economic system.
Millennials, Lowrey argues, have never really had any economic security

I'm personally fine and certainly not victim myself. I cant complain but am able to see the struggles our country has to work through right now.
But the boomers acknowledging they fumbled the ball and handing over the reigns to gen x and beyond would be a good thing.
Its largely too late to matter but an acknowledgment and resignation would be good to start moving forward into hopefully an age of resurgent innovation

That's my mentality but wouldn't millennials be 20s or early 30s?
Most probably don't have a bunch of cash on hand to actually make real money in the stock market.
Neither did Boomers at that age.

How did we fumble the ball? The ball was already coming lose when the greatest generation handed it off to us.

+1. This is something that needs to change. People still have the mentality that all you need is that piece of paper showing you graduated. Those days are long gone.

The boomers havent made any real innovative progress under their leadership. Our educational system, scientific research and exploration and public officials / government offices have all become rotten.
Unnecessary wars, growing national debt, shipping off of manufacturing, sacrificing our nations security in the hope of profits and manufactured "growth".
A few things off the top of my head and without any real innovation to balance the columns

I have seen many Millennials complain that Boomers forced the "lie" that everyone needs a college education to succeed therefore saddling them with debt. What they don't understand is that Boomers were force fed that to us from our Greatest Generation parents because that was the only way they could escape the hick towns and the ghettos that spawned them.
Points for anyone that gets the movie reference.
