Same here. I spent too much time shining them to throw them away. I tossed my desert and ACU boots though.
I've still got my tanker boots and my Class A uniform and shoes as well. Also have about 3 or 4 sets of BDU's two sets of CVC's and my old field jacket. I've also got my old CVC bag and CVC helmet shell. Use to have a couple of duffle bags but those have got gone over the years.

Poly pros, cold weather socks, and my e-tool. That sleeping bag was so underrated it was always comfortable and warm.
Edit: duffle bags

I'm curious how many of y'all still have brown tighty-whities
Good grief, which reminds me I still have over $3K worth of woodland stuff I need to turn back into supply.

I think I finally threw away my last thread-bare, very tattered pair a few years ago.
Anyone here remember the brown towels they use to issue us back in the 80's and early 90's? I don't know what they made them out of but they were completely worthless in trying to dry off after a shower. They kinda felt like they were coated in wax or something. Instead of absorbing water, they'd actually repel water.

I was never in the military but Dad was in the Army. Vietnam era. His wool socks did not frick around. Used those hunting until I was in my 20's -30. Feet were always toasty.

Tossed mine at the first opportunity.

Damn. I had the shitty foam pad. later on I had the self-inflating green one but it wasn't any better.
I had the sleeping system down. I would lean my rifle against the APC's tracks - between two tracks so it couldn't slide one way or the other. Drape a mosquito net over the M16 and would put the mattress on the butt of the rifle. I used my helmet and boots on the ground at the bottom of the mattress to keep the mosquito net fully suspended.
In cold weather the net was not needed. I always slept very well when given the opportunity.

Still have some. Pretty decent after 50 or so hot water washes. I think they're dipped in Scotchguard.

If it was cold we'd turn the turret around backwards so the main gun was over the back deck and elevate it to max elevation. We'd then drape the tarp over the main gun and let it hang over the sides of the hull. This would trap the heat from the engine compartment in our little makeshift tent. All we had to do was roll out our sleeping bags and even when it was in the dead of winter in Germany, we'd still stay nice and warm.

I have a spare barrel for a 249. Not sure where it came from but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to have it.

I may or may not have a few .50 Cal AP tracer rounds, about a dozen or so 7.62 still clipped together, a 155mm's primer round, and even the shattered and flattened remains of a SABOT training projectile..... Maybe.

I've been out for six years and moved twice and I'm still finding boot blousers. They come in handy for all kinds things.
