The CR is sitting there for Dems to vote on. What does Trump have to do with it?

You?
You'll just sit there thinking you're clever with your snide little comments all the while never putting an ounce of the skin in the game
You're the worst kind of political hack. All opinion and zero substance

They threaten. They don’t actually shutdown the govt by not allowing a clean CR that would temporarily keep spending at exact same levels as before the shutdown while negotiations keep happening on a longer term spending bill for the govt.

First let me include my entire quote you cut off in some lame attempt to win a different argument than the one in front of your face.
2018 was started by the Dems in Senate over Trump and Republicans wanting funding for border wall. Stopgap spending filibustered by Dems in the Senate.
Both sides played a part with different bills and/or Dems again filibustering a house passed bill (not a clean CR) in the Senate.
For the 2018/2019 shutdown a clean CR was not ever put in front of both houses back in 2018/2019 and then blocked or vote not allowed on that clean CR which was the key part of my quote that you conveniently left out.
A clean CR has been put in front of both chambers and has been passed by the House both before this shutdown and a dozen or so times the Senate has tried to end debate on the clean CR during shutdown, but that clean CR is being filibustered by Senate Dems over illegals and extending covid subsidies.
Just how long are Dems going to use Covid to increase the welfare state and the govt?
2018/2019 shutdown included a Dem filibuster in the Senate to stop a bill with border wall funding that had passed in the House when still under Republican control in December of 2018.
Sound familiar?? Another Dem cause for illegals over citizens.
quote:
As a result, the House passed a stopgap bill with funding for the wall, but it was blocked in the Senate by the threat of a Democratic filibuster.
I will add your original reply with only the partial quote from my post below in case you edit your original.

You don’t know that.
There’s a whole process to getting service pay. You file claim with what injuries ailments you have while in service. You can also have secondary claims relating to your primary problem that you acquire.
You also have total individual unemployment along with extra pay if for instance you’re bedridden or amputated

You need to edit better. That's a mess.
As for your semantics, there you go. Did they or did they not shut down the government?
Paint the pig however you want, it's fricking pig.

Dems do not even have to vote for or even against the clean CR bill passed by the House. The Dems just need to stop blocking cloture on the bill (basically stop filibustering it) to simply allow a vote to happen on the clean CR bill in the Senate.

People in this thread have no idea how government works. Civics needs to be taught more clearly.

Weak attempt. I included your reply and what you left out of mine. Sorry if that’s beyond your understanding…

You need to learn definition of semantics. Your premature “victory lap” response included only a partial quote of mine and involved a fallacy of relevance with your reasoning.
As I stated both sides shut down the govt in 2018. Trump wanted funding for the border wall and threatened to veto anything without any, Republicans in House passed a bill with that funding, and the Dems in the Senate filibustered that passed House bill that added funding for the wall to an otherwise supported spending bill. The Dems then just as now didn’t allow a vote to happen in the Senate which was due again to supporting illegals over citizens and country.

This thread is pretty good proof of the echo chamber stigma. Instead of focusing on this Reflex guy's arguments, tons of replies question who he is and openly wish for his ban.

Because he's quite clearly an alter. Why doesn't he post his arguments under his real username?

These folks ain't interested in the truth. All they care about is whatever they can bend over backwards to fit their narrative.
They'd shoot the messenger 11/10 times if he's saying something that doesn't fit their framework.

And a complete lack of intellectual curiosity. Rather than looking into something they disagree with using a high-level scan of Google results to get some details, they just stick with their story. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve googled things from posters on here only to find it’s complete bullshite. But ya know what, there have also been several times where I was wrong and learned something new. That’s the value of being curious.
Those who lack curiosity are typically very weak-minded. And scared.
You can even do the homework for these people and provide multiple links. The don’t read them. They see CNN, Reuters, ABC, WaPost, NYT in the link and immediately dismiss it out of hand. “pajamabottoms.net says the opposite so obviously Reuters is lying”. It’s ridiculous.

Fair assessment I think. Looks like they got tired of me handing them their arse and they abandoned ship. Good insight from you.
