I just finished my RILO and the people at AFPC non-concurred with the local doctor's recommendation of retaining me in the Air Force.
I'm now starting the MEB and VA process.
I want to stay in. Any tips?

Mine went pretty smooth. Hopefully you get a retirement check and not the severence pay.

Good luck.
I wanted to stay in but doc said injuries/conditions from Iraq were too much and I had to go. I was able to do my job still but they were sort of downsizing a bit and I guess needed numbers.
You can appeal the MEB though.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of injuries did you sustain in Iraq?

You will get lifetime free medical care from the VA.
P.S. The Atlanta VA uses doctors from Emory. I get first class care from them!

In all honesty they took care of me when they separated me. Full retirement and all.

Not bad
But considering the VP is more of a VIP, shouldn't we keep it on the DL, cuz if it leaks to the VC we could all end up MIA and then everyone will get stuck with KP.
