probably still whine that our police have this vehicle

Can we also thank the heros behind those heros, the tax payers, who bought these massive trucks for the police so that they wouldn't lose their budget?

Don't really care about the vehicle, I care about their tactics.

MRAP stands for Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected. It's specifically designed to withstand IEDs and ambushes. So no, it's not:
You say that these rescues could've been done with a "big truck". How many "big trucks" did you see out there in these affected parishes that were conducting rescue missions? I haven't seen a single "big truck".
Grow up and educate yourself.

The people buying these trucks think the most logical solution to navigating water is a truck.
Duece and a half (or similar) makes way more sense then an armored vehicle, but whatever.

No shite, because they'd rather have MRAPs than more useful utility trucks.
You're honestly going to tell me the police got an armored MRAP to save flood victims?
Posted on 8/12/16 at 5:09 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
I'd rather they have them and not need them / use them frequently than not have them and need them.
You also seem mad. Bitch, please. You're probably kicking your feet up at your dry home and not giving a shite while others have lost personal items.

So can we say that MRAPs can only be used when the flood waters reach a certain height?

They never actually "need" them. They just happen to find "needs" for them after they have them. It's like finding an excuse to play with a shiny new toy

Not sure what that has to do with MRAPs

It's not what the police have, it's how they use it.
People need to stop living in fantacy and fear.

Much more efficient and cheaper, but WTH it's only money.

The point is that they used this "scary" vehicle to save people when they needed it the most, not to oppress minorities or kill unarmed black teenagers
No the point is that you could've just stated that the BRPD saved people but you had to be a total dickhead asswipe about it. Thank you BRPD in spite of a-hole OP.

Yay, let's focus on the trees instead of the forest!
I am relatively sure an RPG could be useful if they need to blow down a door, but it doesn't mean they should have it. There are plenty of non-heavily armored vehicles they could have used.

That's not an MRAP in the OP.

They could've just used this instead.

It's a Bearcat and how does an armored vehicle hurt anyone?
