What took you so long?
You beat me too it.
Why did it take so long to realize that BR has become a bottom less pit that sucks up the tax dollars of working people.
Jeezus the jail census is less than 50 and they want to spend 500k per year??
This seems like a great news story that will never get reported.

Why are juvenile detainees getting catered food from a black-owned seafood restaurant? This aspect alone needs more digging.
I’m emailing my council member now.

Through document's we've obtained, $7,200 were paid to AYCE Catering in November and another $6,600 in December. AYCE Catering shares the same address as the Boil & Roux restaurant on Coursey Blvd. Also in December, the EBR Council on Aging received $26,000 and again in January.
What was COA paid $26,000 for in December if the catering company was also paid?

The EBR COA is a private entity, but it received over 10 million dollars in revenues through a property tax. It received over 3 million dollars for services provided per their latest audit.
First the COA is there to help our elderly. They aren’t there to feed young people.
Second, if I were in the catering business I would wonder why I wasn’t allowed to bid on this 500K contract. I’d also wonder why tgd COA was bidding against me instead of doing what the taxpayers voted on, taking care of old folks.
I looked at their web page and counted 15 directors. Two are public officials. Why are they allowing the COA to divert their energies away from the elderly? Why are they competing with private industry? Why?’

I guess this is payback for them not stealing the property from that old black woman that they tried so hard to do.
