There would have been a furgeson level riot had they planned to knock down all the houses on one side of the street.

Staring is a divided four lane road with a 35 mph speed limit. Stanford is not divided and the speed limit is 40, yet people do 50 all the time. Stupid council

People are going 55+ between Highland and Perkins. If they don't want to send police out there to radar, then lowering it is the next option.

They could make a fortune every morning on that stretch if they decided to run radar.

Anyone who wants lower speed limits is a Red Commie anti-American pig bastard.

Cars going fast is the least of BR's problems. BR drivers are the slowest I've ever encountered.

The Metro Council has no business whatsoever regulating speed limits.

Between this and the lowering of speed limits on residential streets to 25mph, they've proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

it must suck having to make big traffic decisions for the unappreciative BR public. if you buy up everyone's house to put a road there, you're a dick for plowing through a neighborhood and destroying lives and communities on the tax payer's dime. if you don't, all the armchair engineers tell you how much of a dumbass you are for not spending taxpayer money to "do it right."

not to mention that it took them forever
not only road construction, but a bridge was widened and a massive 60" sewer main was also installed.

It took a while for this current incarnation of the BR Metro Council to come down with a case of the dumbass, but as predicted, they've risen to the occasion.

Second off, the Southdowns HOA has so much strength in this town, they can do anything they want. If they want Delgago to put gigantic dick statues on every corner, he'll do it. He's an asskisser and he knows who butters his bread.

Pretty sad but BR is gonna BR. You tangle with Southdowns, you're gonna get bit. Just ask every councilman who's ever served that district.
