Wife is trying to decide between it and Audi Q5. I like the GLC interior styling etc. We haven't ever owned either. We'll be upgrading from Toyota Highlander. Might buy but possibly leasing although we have never done that, but she gets a yearly car allowance through work that will basically pay for it.

My good friend, what make of vehicle do you own?

Ford E350 passenger bus. Currently inoperable, but working to fix that. In the meantime, I borrow rides and take public transportation.

We have a GLE and have been very happy with it. Interior is very nice. We’ve had it 2 years and no issues mechanically. Just take it to the dealership for scheduled maintenance.
We looked at comparable Audi, Volvo and BMW and settled on the Benz.

My mom had a GLC and liked it and I enjoyed driving it the few times I did.
The only complaint I heard was from my stepdad who complained how much the oil changes and maintenance was. He said everything was 2X as expensive and thought it was a crock.

Consider a certified Jaguar fpace with under 5k miles. Warranty goes to 100k miles. V6 turbocharged is fun too.

Highlander is better than both of the others. Stop being poor and get her a G-Wagon

If you’re in this price range, include the Porsche Cayenne in your search.

You get more for your money with Infiniti or Acura, without the obscene maintenance costs. Any garage can work on them.

Ours was built in Sweden, but yea the resurgence of the company is on the back of Geely.

I have friends that had mercedes and porsch
suvs. they all got rid of them after two years.
comments about power, gas etc (the porsch was fast though)
idk take it for what it is worth.
i have an q5 for my run around vehicle.
i like it.... their sales pitch is agile and well deserved. very good handling and enough power even at 60 to kick up to 80 plus it responds well. it us just a little 2.0 but has zip enough fir a run around car and extremely good gas mileage

We always buy certified preowned MBs, buy extended warranty, prepaid maintenance is usually good too

Do. Not. Buy. A. Mercedes.
My wife has an SUV and I fricking hate it. The service department at MBoBR is absolutely horrible as well

Leasing may be great option depending on mileage. Haven't tried it, thought about it but tend to drive to crap out of Benz's. Wife's sedan is 11 yrs old, intend another 9 years.

if your serious about buying to own instead if lease....... look at certified pre own like others mention. this is one of the reasons i buy audi...
their program is real good with then number of point checks and warranty they include in price. and they treat you like original owner when you bring it in.
i buy 2-3 years old and look at trim versus mileage.
you can buy a vehicle with a few thousand more miles and get the prestige model instead of base for the same price. and both will be way under the mileage warranty stuff so really not much risk on the vehicle with a few thousand more miles.
