I thought Minnesota had Farm & Fleet (Blaine’s) and Wisconsin has Fleet Farm (Mills). I heard the brothers had a falling out and it lead to the two different versions.
Looks like it's the other way around. The Blaine's are in Wisconsin.

Between friends, family, and coworkers in the midwest, y'all are proud of Menard's. Not a bad thing but yeah, be nice to have a store like that within reasonable driving distance.

Everywhere I've seen a Menards, there also was a Meijers. A true nightmare store, almost twice the size of a Wal-Mart with a furniture showroom thrown in so you can walk around for a few extra miles.
Ace is the place.
Ace is the place.

We have both in WI.
There are no Farm & Barns (local slang for Farm & Fleet) in MN.

Meijer is across the street from my Menards.
Fortunately this Meijer isn't one of the behemoth's with the showroom, and is primarily groceries and the pharmacy, so it's less daunting.

Which Lowe's are y'all going to? Mine is awful. Understaffed, nothing in stock, what they do have is still sitting on pallets in the middle of the aisle.
This. Lowes blows dick. Much rather go to HD.

If it's lumber or wood products I'm after, Menard's is the go-to. Order on-line or in-store, drive thru the lumber yard and pick out what you need. Not only is it usually better quality but a wider variety. Only thing I don't care about is that dang rebate they always have, it's mail-in and if you aren't careful you'll throw away the rebate when it comes in. For name brand things like power tools, plumbing, elect, etc Home Depot is best, here anyways. Both places are accross the street from each other. Don't really care for Lowe's, closest one is 17 miles anyway.
And yeah, a Meijer is right around the corner.

Aren't the owners of Menards huge assholes that frick over contractors?
I don’t know how they treat contractors but I knew John Menard during my Indy Racing League days and he was a good team owner and fun to be around on race weekends.
