I can totally relate to what you’re saying. I felt the same way about my parents for a long time. Still do in a way. But once you’ve got a few of your own you realize that this parenting shite it is really hard. You could be the dad that spends all the time with your kids and then they grow up to resent you because you couldn’t afford the nice shite for them. Nobody’s perfect. Everybody’s just doing the best they can.

When society decided they wanted to promote women at the expense of men.

The difference between the kids and us older folks is that we were a lot more sneaky. No way you let the GF know this.

And they do it bc the same women complaining are the ones who degrade masculinity and anything men do.

No sir. I know a couple who have three girls - all nice looking (7/8 range) in their late twenties/early thirties. I think all three have now found someone with one getting married soon. All three had all kinds of trouble finding responsible men. None of these girls are the type who degrade masculinity. They are all three good conservative young women.

There is an element of truth to this, but it’s basically bullshite. A young man graduating from high school can go to work at a fast food joint, save enough money in one year to buy a cheap second hand truck, a lawn mower and a weed eater. He can then start earning money cutting grass. In a year he can build his clientele enough to clear $3,000 per week during the deep south cutting season, which is six months long. That’s $75,000. Give him another month to pull maintenance on his equipment (by then he’d have several mowers and weedeaters) and he has cleared $75k in seven months, leaving him five months free to get new clients and hire employees.

But this takes hustle, and that isn’t what some people want to do. They want to screw off in school, graduate, and follow the arrows to a hundred thousand per year, 40 hour per week job with great benefits.

This OP is a PSA for anyone out there who is presently exposing their kids and spouse to a similar scenario. Insurance is too cheap. Do it now.

Correct. Once you get cancer it is too late. Unfortunately, cancer is nailing people younger and younger these days.

No they didnt, they just needed othet parts to be in place. You are without a doubt the type of father to shite on his son and spoil his daughter then wonder why your son is struggling and your daughter is thriving. Your entire generation decided to throw the boys out and preference the daughters.

My son is a cybersecurity expert and boxed until he was 30.

My three daughters are all married, two with children, and all four kids were self-sufficient when they walked out of university.

I raised all my kids tough like I was raised.

Now, let’s do you. You are a man who reflexively blames women. Why is that? The easy guess is that you have failed with women, but maybe that’s not true. I’ve met men who had good success with women, but only with the ones who were weak enough to be dominated. For some reason they just hated women. Sad.

I think about this all the time but I never used to. It finally struck me when my child was born. As she grew I remembered things I did at her age. I consider it the greatest privilege to teach her things. If she has a problem she can’t figure out I sit down with her and let her know we’ll figure it out together. Neither of my parents did that. So I asked myself where was this when I was a kid? I was left alone to figure things out on my own. It took me way too long to figure out certain things. It was as if a lot of people from that generation didn’t actually want to parent beyond providing.

Because work sucks? And most men are conditioned to believe that working all of the time earns them a badge of honor. It really just makes you a sucker.
