Fuuuuuuuuck. Man, I'm so sorry

At first it was tears of anger. It took me about 3 years to come to peace with God's plan. Now it is tears of joy knowing I have an angel watching over us. I now have a "rainbow" (child born after miscarriage/stillborn) child. We had a healthy daughter 13 months later who is now 5 and full of life and energy.

We talk openly with her about her big brother in heaven and seeing th elook in her eyes when she talks about her angel watching her is awesome.

Thanks.

About 2 weeks ago. Cleaning out our home office and came across some old cards and pictures from/of the kids, some almost 20 years old. Teared up at first, but eventually it all came out once you start thinking of the passage of time and regrets of time not spent.

I cant remember a day that Ive not thought about the child my ex and I lost to a miscarriage , I also imagine a day I get to see my child in heaven. Never had to endure a stillbirth or the death of a child I held. I cannot imagine the pain that anyone that has experienced that must feel.

last time I cried was reading this thread . My most sincere sympathy to all of you

October 27th, my sister called from Chicago to tell me that the hospice nurses said Dad (87) would not make it through the night. 4 of his 7 kids were with him. I was on the phone in a cold windy rain in the back yard in MN, and hung up, starting gasping for breath like when you jump in a cold ocean (or one of the great lakes). Got it together and went back in the house. Three teens all sense something is up, but it is cool. An hour later, the phone rings, caller ID says "Dad" and I lost it. He'd been sick for nine months, and I was down to see him often in the Summer and Fall. We buried him about 200 yards from Al Capone in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Chicago. (I am 52).

In 1985 when we got the news from doctors that my dad had an inoperable brain tumor. Bawled like a baby. And again in 1990 when I lost my 1st wife to cancer. Mom is still living and will totally break down when she goes. And when I had to put down my 2 Golden Retievers at different times. When it's time to cry the flood gates open.

My parents were married 66 years when my mom died in February. I went with my 91 year old dad to her grave site and it broke my heart to see him cry. He's a Marine vet of WWII, Korea and Vietnam who went to my oldest son's wedding with a broken hip when he was 87(he didn't want to miss it).

When I saw him and realized how sick my stepdad was. He was terminally ill, and passed away a month or so later. That was this summer.
