Jesusgod people.

Man up. Figure this out for yourself, you’re not morons.

Just shave your goddam face, it’s not rocket science.

I have a oily skin which sucks for my hair but is great for preventing razor burn but also awful for trying to build calluses for running or yardwork or anything. I perpetually have dealt with blisters all my life. I would have blood stains on my socks from when I played baseball and soccer. I'm pretty immune to any kind of burning pain so I guess that is a plus. Best of luck to you on your search. Maybe try growing a beard and keeping it trimmed and conditioned.

switched to an electric razor
I missed that. Those things never did anything but rip my face up. My dad uses one, and has to shave twice a day. I tried using one, but shaving with a blade is like a religous experience compared to using an electric razor. Probably more like masturbation compared to real sex.

This stuff is still good info, but stop using the electric razor.

I'm a ginger with really sensitive skin. I've found the most important thing with me not getting razor burn is using a blade too long. I can get a month out of a blade because I only shave every other day. So I put on a new blade at the beginning of each month.

I shave in the shower. On the days I shave, I start out with really warm water, and wash my face with the liquid soap I use in the shower. When I used to shave in the lavatory, I ran really warm water and did the same face washing before shaving.

Another important thing with me is keeping the same shaving routine. When I was still working, I shaved every day. If I skipped shaving for three or more days, I get razor burn, liked I'd shaved off a six month beard, when I finally shaved. Now, if I shaved two days in a row I'll get it.

I wouldn't use anything with a fragrance like after shave. I've used straight rubbing alcohol before, but find that me putting an aftershave balm on my face after I've cooled down enough to dress, works better than anything.

I buy a large aloe vera leaf from Wal-Mart every 2 weeks and that is effectively my aftershave. I keep it in the fridge so it's nice and cool and I have no bumps or irritation, ever.

- Wash face with an Aveeno exfoliating pad
- Rinse
- Hot rag over face
- Shave
- Hot rag over face
- Fresh, cold aloe vera gel on face
- Wait 10 minutes
- Cold shower
- Profit

I switched to electric and solved the problem. About once a week I use a razor in the shower and make sure to use the wash cloth to wipe all residue off with the towel with hot water hitting my face and neck.

Side note, it was typically worse if I had to wear a tie that day. Maybe it was the starch and/or dry cleaning solution in the shirt or maybe the collar being right against the skin.

If I shave in one specific direction on my neck, it causes razor burns.

So, I don’t shave in that direction..

My beard is thick as hell. By shaving after showering, using some quality shaving cream, and a decent razor, I typically only have to make one pass except for my neck.

I will definitely try Tendskin.

No guard clipper. No ingrown hairs, not silky smooth but gives you 1 day old shadow.

A Fresh Gillette fusion blade most times (yes costly but much better on skin), shave in the shower with lots of moisture and good gel not cream. The art of shaving stuff doesn’t work for me and was just a rip off.
