Wait a minute - you could double your current salary and still take 5-7 years of increases to get to $250k? You know this is the OT, right? Nobody here makes less than $350k. Most of us pay our butlers more than that. To the guy who said it would take +$30k to move to NOLA, you better be making $5k/yr for that increase to make sense. It would take hundreds of thousands more for me to live there.

Some of us are getting kinda old on the OT so not everyone is making 250k+ a year like the rest of us. Sometimes you have to make moves to get a chance to make a big leap in pay. If the company is paying for the move then I say go for it.

I’ve moved from Phoenix to Charlotte to Baton Rouge and each stop was way more pay.

It would have to be in excess of $1.5 million/year for me to consider a move across the country at this point.

I’ll bite. What do you do that you need another 1.5 mill per year to move?

Depends on where. Turned down a 20% raise to move to Oakland.

Dear Lord. Oakland? What number would it take to have made you turn your head?
