Dad said they would last forever and they have.

I have Alden shell cordovan LHS, plain toe bluchers, longwings, and tassel loafers. They’re equally nice; I find myself wearing the 563s most frequently.

Most of these really nice brands like AE or JM feel like bricks on my feet. I pretty much have to wear something like Eccos.

Have a few pairs of Alden’s. They’ll outlive me.

These are my favorites right now. Can wear with a suit or jeans.

Exactly. Just massive and clunky. I've been focusing on boots, and trying to find minimalist dress shoes. And driving loafers. Hard sole loafers have been another type I just cant knock out.

My latest is a pair of black wholecut oxfords from Thomas Bird (made in Italy).

Like the other poster a bit to narrow at the tip for me, but I like the simple smoothness of that shoe.

I have a pair Ferragomo Tux shoes that have a similar look. Just tighter along the sides.

I like shoes that curve to my feet, but arent tight. I dont like big soles that stick out but are more tucked under. I dont like things that "stick out," but work smoothly together. I dont care for my feet to look massive to compensate for other misgivings either. Which is what I feel most shoes today are like. Really been tough the last few yrs finding good dress shoes, so boots have been the go to.
