Good for her.

Unfortunatly for her, she doesn't have any talent besides being a chick version of Chris Farley falling and breaking stuff and cursing a lot, and people falling is a lot less funny to people whenever you're not fat

She loses a bunch of weight just as she opens a plus size clothing line.

Next, she plans to go vegetarian and promote Black Angus beef.

Uh it's not like those guys were / are great actors. I don't even know who the frick John Popper is.

Goodman has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for acting and has been nominated for a shitload more. Hill has two Academy Award nominations for best supporting actor and he only recently started landing serious roles.

John Popper is the lead singer for Blues Traveler.

The only meh actor in that list is Tom Arnold (not surprising since he started off as a prop comic) and his career was derailed by drugs more than anything else.

That Emmy was for being a guest character on a show. He was in one episode. And the golden globe was for Rosanne. Like 25 years ago.

I like Jonah Hill but he's not an A list actor. Pretty sure he had to beg to get on the wolf of Wall Street.

Being an A list actor is different than being a really good actor. Sam Rockwell is a boss but he isn't anchoring big budget tent pole flicks any time soon.

Goodman and Hill both are very good and have shown it in many roles. There really is no denying it.

and so what if Hill had to bust his butt getting that role on WoWS? He killed it once he had it.

For film I'd say his top 3 are Charlie Meadows in Barton Fink, Walter Sobchak in The Big Lebowski, and Al Zimmer in The Artist.

For TV I thought he was really good on Damages as Howard Erickson.

He is also really good in the Monsters Inc flicks but most people don't seem to acknowledge voice acting when it comes to discussing excellent actors. It's similar to (but much more pronounced than) the way comedic actors talents get dismissed as lesser even though its actually quite difficult to have the correct timing and body language to make comedy work.

Dude was nominated for Academy Awards AFTER he lost the weight and now receives much better rolls. He's pretty much the opposite of your theory.
