45 Minutes away
More than half a billion dollars is on the table in tonight's Mega Millions lotto drawing. No one has won the jackpot in two months.
This is the fourth time in the game's history that the jackpot has exceeded $500 million. The prize is now worth $521 million, with a cash payout of $317 million before taxes.
The March 27 drawing numbers were 7,25,43,56 and 59 and the Mega Ball was 13. Two tickets in Illinois and New Jersey matched five of the numbers. Those ticket holders won $1 million each. The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million in March 2012. Three separate winners from Kansas, Maryland and Illinois shared the prize.

The lottery is trashy, this thread is trashy, and you should feel trashy.

Nobody wins the big pot tonight .... the real insanity starts

Still, the probability of overcoming approximately 302 million to 1 Mega Million odds and winning the $521 million top prize this evening is far better than the chances you'll be struck by debris from a Chinese space station set to reach the Earth as soon as late Saturday morning and as late as Sunday night.

Pretty much guaranteed a split pot if no one takes it tonight.

That's what I sold my first company for.

Damn. I was only six numbers away from the jackpot. It could’ve been me.

If a 27ft Baja Outlaw is trashy, I don't want to be classy

Hate that Mega went the way of PB.
Liked it better when they had frequent winners. What's wrong with 50 mil?

I'll tell you what's wrong with $50 million ...
If I take the cash option, it's only $30 million. After I get reamed on taxes, now I'm down to $16.5 million. WTF at I going to do with $16.5 million?!? How much excess will that buy? Not enough, that's for damn sure! And now all of my "win the lottery" good luck is gone! WASTED!!! On a paltry $16.5 million, when I could have used it on a couple of hundred million take home winnings.
THAT'S what's wrong with winning $50 million!
(A 5% annual return on $16.5 million would generate $825,000 income per year. If you aren't an OT Baller, you could probably quit your job and make ends meet with this kind of money. You'd also still have $16.5 million to give to your family, charity, and/or your dog when you die. So maybe it wouldn't be that bad to win $50 million either. But I'd rather win at least $300 million.)
