Sounds to me like the bearings are getting bad in the alternator.

Which fan is running ‘hard’?
Not sure? They just said it blows hard when the the Freon is low.

Have you had the battery tested yet?
Put a new battery in today.

Does the F-150 have a star connector for the main controls?
No idea on this one…

You are being hosed.
And no, it doesn’t use a star connector, just the regular ecm i believe.
So you niw have a new alternator, new battery, new serpentine belt and topped off on freon?

Correct

I’ve been going to this place for years. They have been the most honest place I’ve ever taken a car. I appreciate your concern on this point but I assure I’m not being hosed.

Yeah i mean you’re being hosed by your vehicle, my bad.
Sometimes it just happens, keep changing out parts and that just leads to more inkniwn issues.
Did they scan for codes?

I don’t think so. My main concern is the truck dying on the road. Should I be worried?
Posted on 11/25/25 at 7:21 pm to King of New Orleans
I don’t think so, i would def keep my eye on the battery health.
Google resetting the battery management system and try that, too.
Also, some research indicates the alternator might not be compatible, ie the regulator on it. Apparently the ford system doesn’t recognize it so need ford/oem - i guess crazier things……

So you didn’t have the knowledge that an alternator didn’t charge a battery when the engine is off but you have the knowledge that your mechanic is not hosing you?
Do you still have the 3 beep battery light issue?

Couple of points you need to reflect on:
I was the first to try and help you.
I spent time researching your issue.
You ignore my solutions.
Multiple people downvoted me because they don’t like me and have nothing to do with the validity of my research.
You take it to a mechanic who has not solved your issues yet.
I inform you that maybe you should look at my advice post again.
I get ignored again.
You take it again back to the same mechanic where the issue replicated and he still can’t fix it.
So again, you dumb stupid ignorant mother fricker you that doesn’t know that an alternator doesn’t charge the battery when the car is off which is something I learned before I was 10 and currently keep 4 personal cars on the road whose youngest age is almost 20 years old of all different brands and types without going to any mechanics to…..
get your head out of your arse and read my first solution post you dumb mother fricking arse clown.
Any of this getting through that thick skull of yours?

Buddy, I read your posts but you have massive issues.
Chill the frick out.
I’m assuming you’re a child who’s been spoonfed his whole life and expects everyone to kiss your arse.
Not here, buddy.

You car still isn’t fixed. Hope it stays that way or you spend a ton of money having someone else do it.

King, I can almost guarantee that a multitude of people have had this same issue, gone thru the same steps you have and still have/had the beeps and batt symbol.
Google that situation and you sill find forums about this- and you most likely will find rhe solutuion. Once people figure it out they love providing that info.
It is probably simpler than it seems.
ETA: in the mean time tho, check batt terminal connections to make sure they are clean and all looks to be in order, reset the battery management system mgmt and find someone with an obd reader and get the codes

You think this clown can do that and succeed? He doesn’t know the alternator doesn’t charge the battery with the engine off. Probably had someone else change his battery too.
Then he ignores people that try to help him and thinks his mechanic is the shite bit after two trips still can’t troubleshoot and fix his issue.
A clown. A dumbass clown.

Damn right. I paid for it. It’s their job to install it.

Wrong. I ignored you because you’re being an arse. I welcomed the input of others.
