As a stock holder in Norfolk Southern, they should answer for their stupid apology.
I would suspect the City put a lot of pressure on them, they have a lot of railroad crossings and property in the jurisdiction so they are vulnerable to regulation and taxation.

SFP, I would define this more as a replacement target and not manufacturing crime. A trailer would have been burglarized regardless if that particular one or not.
And can someone tell me how we shouldn’t fully expect a similar outcry and idiotic governmental responses from the NOLA, BR, & Jackson mayoral administrations?

This isn’t entrapment.
It’s called a sting operation.

Im conservative but I've always thought the bait car/truck was pretty messed up. Why not put a food truck in the middle of a homeless camp and arrest them when they start grabbing? same principle

A bait truck seems like a solid plan for catching the guys that are robbing trucks... unless the ACLU is suggesting that all black people will steal if you give them a chance. That seems like an awfully racist conclusion, though.

Now if the UPS truck keeps getting robbed in a certain area so they set up a sting I get it. But just randomly creating crime scenarios so they can arrest people seems pointless.

Its like 74% of all black children that are born are illegitimate. Thats sad and funny. Maybe Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should clean up the problems in their own communities than worry about the racist white man. MLK is probably rolling over in his grave if he knew how the majority of blacks lived and acted. He was no angel himself.

If you get caught by a bait sting, you are garbage, and deserve whatever comes to you
Stuff like this is a big reason why many white people wont vote for a liberal.

It gets a thief off the streets.

If any law enforcement officer there trusts anyone in that community, they haven’t been doing their job long. And probably won’t be doing it much longer.
But calling that entrapment if you weren’t a god damn thief, you wouldn’t have to worry about it. I’ve never stolen anything in my life and I can promise you a loaded down truck that’s running and unoccupied on my street wouldn’t flip some hypothetical switch that would make doing hood rat shite irresistible.

This is entrapment? How is it any different when the local boys get hauled in for shooting a mechanical deer that wildlife and fisheries setup at night?

Used to run trains in Chicago.
Bastards would climb on slow moving trains, crack open containers and start bailing shite off the side.
Had to laugh about the container of dog food. Just opened the doors then lost interest. Surprised they didn't have some pit bulls to feed.

A video shot last week and posted on the Facebook page of community activist Charles Mckenzie appeared to show Chicago police officers arresting a man after he allegedly broke into a "bait truck" in the Englewood neighborhood. People on the video argued that community members were being set up for arrest.
Seems to me that you can't get "set up for arrest" if you don't steal stuff in the first place. Is that not just plain old common sense?

So leaving things out that could be stolen is wrong but stealing said things isn't? What strange times we are living in.
A Lafayette police officer told a neighbor...don’t leave things under your carport if you don’t want them stolen. Neighbor said...are you blaming me. And cop said...you shouldn’t have left it outside. SMH

This is 100% exactly what they did. Did you not read. 27 million in thert each year....
I'd say it's time to reroute trains and possibly put some new tracks down to completely abandon any stops in Chicago...if the city won't allow tactics to prevent theft of your stuff, then the city doesn't need that company's tax dollars.

This is Chicago. Ran by liberals. No common sense available.
