Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream and Warm Toffee Sauce

Would have been much better with a good bread pudding and rum sauce

Nah. Sticky toffee pudding is fantastic if done well (and I’d assume the Master’s chefs would do it well) in its own right.

The Sun reported that it is the most expensive Masters dinner ever, coming in at $264 a plate.

Apparently Rory loves the high end wines. When he won the Zurich a couple of years ago he went to Arnauds and ordered some bottles of the really high end Bordeauxs.

Sam the Cooking Guy duplicated the dinner.

That seems very reasonable if drinks were included

No chance. Every bottle of wine on the list was over $1000. The champagne was $500.

I also think this $264 is actual cost of the food. So I would assume this would be $400 a plate at a normal restaurant.

“People keep asking me, ‘Why didn’t you go more Irish?’” McIlroy quipped, per Yahoo. “And I said, ‘Because I want to enjoy the dinner as well.’”

Anyone else read this in their head with an Irish accent

Ireland never faught a war of it's own over spices......and it shows.

Just boil the piss out of it and hope it has some natural flavor.

His name is McIlroy, no apostrophe. I am not surprised a writer for AL.com doesn't know how to write.

Names always autocorrect with apostrophe for me. It's annoying as frick and I let it go sometimes. But I don't write for a living.

Last time I tried to eat at Gautreau’s he had half the place booked, so I was SOL.
