Smart people shoot people as an absolute last resort. He likely (I emphasize likely) didn't diffuse this situation before it escalated to him shooting someone. Now his life is ruined regardless of whether or not he is convicted.
Again, more facts may prove he made all the right moves, but I strongly doubt it.
Don't you think his rage lead to him making less than rational judgments? I think a reasonable person could make that assumption.

I took facts and made a judgement based on them. Obviously, you don't believe the facts I presented are enough evidence to warrant the conclusion I have drawn. I understand completely.
