There has been a lot of push in African American circles lately in Baton Rouge to rename a major Baton Rouge street after former President Obama. The momentum has started making the facebook pages lately with some saying that Mayor Broome is looking at renaming Highland Road after the former President. Los Angeles and a host of other cities recently have named roads after the former President.

I'm curious as to whether LSU would approve of the renaming of Highland Road or if they would be in favor of the name change.

Pretty sure the churches in that area would throw a fit over “a-hole Road”.

We’ve already got enough presidents streets. I don’t the the city can handle another place to buy drugs or carjack someone.

Why not put Obama Street in the same area as the other presidential streets?

If a street in Baton Rouge absolutely has to be renamed for him, it shouldn't be Highland Road. it should be Plum Broque Drive.
