On one hand, the term "whitesplaining" was invented to dismiss and shut down dissent.....but on the other Damon is a tool who I wish nothing but discomfort for.

It's not just a number things--it's the consistent portrayal of minorities in subservient and lesser than roles that just go on to perpetuate stereotypes amongst the masses that don't interact with these folks.
Just like he minstrel shows of the 1870s did.
There is nothing wrong with diversity. It is plausible too for a white man to be fraudulently wrong about a concert, either due to a lack of education, listening or experiences, etc.
That though, is a a concept and point that is way to hard for some to comprehend.

How is it implausible that a white man just may not have the sensitives or is equip enough to handle the portrayal of some ethnic portions of a script ? Is that out of bounds ?
