Dad used to make bon fires on the levee in the 1940/50's w cane reed and old tires. Cane reed would pop like fire crackers (again 1940-50's) and the tire would burn for hours.

Probably wouldn't be ok now...

St. James is a damn strong parish. School system is solid and their football is always top notch
